The gash on the front side of the top part of my middle finger, right hand.

A side view shows the swelling!

Looks to me like you needed stitches! How in the world did you do that?

I am the queen of injuries at the farm. I usually have some sort of doctorable injury at least once a week. It is a going joke, we not through, Gail hasn't been hurt yet.

That sounds like my son. He managed, at primary school, aged about 6, to fall out of a tree and land on the only piece of glass in a mile: fall when filling up the huge coal bucket, hit the rim and knocked out a tooth; playing truant from secondary school, did a wheelie on a small motorbike, flipped and broke his collar bone, then when a good bit older had a near fatal accident when competing in some sort of cross country racing on his scramble motor bike...ended with a fortnight in "intensive care", everything cracked but not broken and a tracheotomy. I hate motorbikes! These were his worst injuries.

Help ma kilt! I've had lesser injuries going over the handlebars onto rocks at 20 mph! You need to take up a more gentle passtime like bare handed Siberian Tiger wrestling, this doggy business is obviously too dangerous........

That looks really sore. You do realise you won't be able to do the dishes now.

Whoaaaw, that looks nasty! I hope the doc helped you out and it's healing ok. Thank you for coming to visit my blog and for your kind comment - apologies that I haven't returned the compliment till now :)

Hope it's healing ok. I know we use our hands all the time and are aware of it in our daily life - but it only hits home for sure how much we use them when we can't!
