I've been on that track, stopped at the lochan too but turned left at the bothy and headed up the hill. Quite an energetic climb but worth it for the views. Of course this was a few years back when I was in my prime (!!) and considerably fitter!
Okay! That is just so picturesque! I have to go visit scotland soon!
